We use skin candy ink, no acrylic or lead base...rose water is the main vehicle....
sterile single use needles.  We have over 3000-4000  pieces  of flash on the
walls and over 20  books to look at for ideas...along with his talent for custom
drawn art..and  you can bring your own design...if need be, John can fine tune it.

"A work of art is always going to be a work of art, but a piece of crap is always
going to be a piece of crap."
Also in advising in placement and choice of tattoo...he says..."pick something that you
will never be ashamed of wearing....because sometimes the only thing you will be wearing
is "your tattoo".  John is an artist not just a tattooist...Allyn and Lady Em have joined
us...this year 2011...they also can free-hand on a blank piece of paper...again artists not
    just "flash art" tattooists....

Marie offers her skills as a licensed practical nurse, EMT and full body piercer to the
business. She says, "Just because a body walks into the door and has the body part to
pierce, doesn"t always mean the part is pierceable."  Full body piercing is offered...as long
"as it does not disrupt bodily function", Marie is usually game...dermal anchors were
recently legally authorized to do here in Grand Traverse County...we offer those too..

With both owners...much thought and concern is put in to caring for their customers,
from the moment they walk in the doors till? ....like Marie says...."just cause you walk out
the door, doesn't mean we're done with you..call if you have any questions.
You can always count on Marie to tell you..."until this is healed..keep your dirty
    hands off"...
Many of their clients are return customers. Many have travelled hundreds of
miles and planned their yearly trips to Traverse City to return to Pour Boiz
Tattooz, for additional work. They have a very wide customer age base, from
5 month old infants (ear-piercing)... up to  78 year olds...and some getting
their first tattoo, still saying " if my mother was alive, she'd.......

John and Marie encourage anyone to stop by and visit...even if you don"t get
a piercing or tattoo...it is always good to expand your knowledge and keep up
on what's going on in your community.
